The other day me and my freind while coming back from the market found a pigeon lying on the ground, fluttering its wings desperately. When i went near i found out that it did not have any injury mark but still it could not fly. There were people around us looking as if there was some show going on. We picked it up not even knowing where to take it. Being an outsider in the city we are not aware about many things. But luckily our hostel's gaurd knew where to take the bird. He told us to take it to a charity bird hospital near Red Fort. We had no idea where the place was, but still started looking for an auto to take us there. our primary concern was to get the bird treated. With God's grace we reached the hospital and handed it over to the vet. And then we came to know that it was suffering from paralysis.
It might not be an act of bravery or something but it gave me immense satisfaction to get the pigeon admitted to that hospital.I knew it would be taken care of and set free after recovery. I knew i could sleep well that night and the nights to come as otherwise the thought of ignoring a suffering being would have haunted me for a long long time.

hi!
mm.. I know it is a immesly gratifying feeling isnt it? just to help another living creature. SO far my mom and I together have rescued a parrot, a pigeopn and a cat with a broken leg. But we didnt pick them off the road, they just wandered into our house. :D
anyways, interesting blog on the whole... I think you are trying to raise a bit of awareness through these little things, which incidently I am also attempting to do :)
c u around!
